AND NOW...A SAMPLE OF THE VIDEO:

My Thoughts
During the introduction of the DVD, the camera changes angles every now and then but the person presenting the video doesn’t follow it. Consequence? You see the person talking from the side instead of her facing the viewer. I find it difficult to keep watching the DVD when these kind of situation happens. Mind you I am flexible and if it happens once I can understand an error but when it happenes every time the angle of the camera is changed it is obvious that it was not explained to her to face a different camera. However, I like that she takes the time to explain the background of yoga which is Hinduism based by the way and explain the reasons behind the saying a Christian alternative to Yoga. There is even a pdf file explaining this on her website. http://www.praisemoves.com/christianalternative.htm

While doing the PowerPraise Move every posture is yoked on scriptures and you will be transformed by the Word. She also gives a list of things you might need to do the execises in the introduction of the DVD.

The exercises are divided in different section. In the warm up, you will start with a prayer and you will warm yourself to do harder exercises in the standing postures, floor postures, power sequences and abs workout.

The décor is simple and will help you to concentrate on the example of the exercises and do your best in following the rhythm. Scriptures are read on a regular basis and the exercises are done while listening to the scriptures. I find it interesting to incorporated exercising with scriptures. It is a different way to use the scriptures and include them in your life.

The person speaking on the video is doing so in a clear way and slow enough (but not too slow) for the viewer to do it at the same time. However, I find the piano being a bit too loud for my taste. I would have preferred having the music brought down a notch on the video so we can hear the speaker more clearly.

At the end of the DVD, there is an invitation to meet the Lord and become is friend. There is also prayers you can do with moves for non-christian family members or friends.

Included in the DVD, a little booklet will explain what Power Praise Move and all the moves that is done throughout the DVD. I thought it was a nice gesture to have included this in the box and you can get familiar with the moves before starting the exercises. The same positions of yoga are used in the Power Praise Move DVD but under a different name sometimes.
