My Thoughts

I will admit that I had reservations when I first saw this product.   I was doubting the fact that it would be effective….

So I asked my husband to install it last week and in the presence of the kids we tested it.  The oohs and aahs where instantaneous.   The kids were excited to see the color changes and we were impressed with the rapidity the BriteFaucet would change the colors.

The idea behind the product is quite simple.  When the water is cold the light turns blue, when it is warm the light turns green and when the water is hot the color is red.    When it is very hot we have also discovered that it would flash red!

In the past, when my oldest would just open the water to rinse his hands, he would sometimes encounter hot water especially when he goes after something I had done in the sink.   Now with this device, he will automatically see that the water is too hot before putting his hands under the water.

We had a party over the week-end and a friend of ours is a plumber.  So my husband showed him this ingenious way of identifying the level of temperature of the water.   He had never seen that before and was impressed to say the least.

My only disappointment with the BriteFaucet is that I find the water splashes all over the place when you open the tap at full capacity.    I also find  the price a bit expensive for my taste.  I am not sure I would purchase extra ones for the house at the price it is listed.

Though I have some reservations on the price of the product, I must admit that it is a wonderful item to have in the kitchen.  The kids can easily identify if the water is safe for their hands or not.   It is even useful for us adults in the house.
