Free Lapbook on Burtterflies

Free this week on CurrClick.com is a wonderful lapbook on butterflies from In The Hands of a Child.   I love their lapbooks and the kids always learn something from them.    This particular one is geared for kids in PreK to grade 4.   This 81-page unit contains a 15-page Research Guide covering anatomy, range and habitat, diet, pollination, life cycle, predators and defense, collecting, and conservation.

Click on the image below to be directed to the page and download it before the week is passed!

400th Project Pack Celebration at Hands of A Child

Have you heard?

In the Hands of a Child is eagerly anticipating the release of their 400th Project Pack and when they do, they will be celebrating with a HUGE 400th Project Pack Celebration!

Did you know the In The Hands of A Child has won the award for BEST Unit Study by The Old Schoolhouse Readers in 2010?  They unit studies are fun to do and very creative.   The child will put together a lapbook on a specific subject with paper, glue, scissors and pencils.    In each of their unit study, they include information on the subject and the child can build his/her lapbook based on that information.  If you want you can complement with books from the library on the same subject.

Alexandre has done a few of their studies in the past.   Below are some pictures from his lapbook on St-Patrick that he did back in March 2009.

Everytime, we do one of their lapbooks, I learn at the same time as the kids.   For the purpose of this review, I received the Project Pack Christmas Around the World.  However, since I received this after Christmas 2010, I decided to keep it for next year.

Would you like to win some Project Packs?   Well it is quite simple.   Go to Hands of a Child and select your top 5 titles from the Hands of a Child Project Packs.  Post your list on my blog.    On January 17th, I will pick one person to win using random.or.    That person will receive a free bundle pack from In the Hands of a Child!

And keep an eye open for the BIG announcement concerning the 400th  Project Pack Celebration at Hands of a Child.

The also offer a new COMPLETE unit every 6 months which can be downloaded by anyone by visiting:
