Power Plant - Helping church planters

This week, we are distributing over 2000 bibles and something like close to 10000 invitations for our church!   All with the help of Power Plant .    We are very grateful to the team of 6 that came down from Toronto.

To read more about this adventure in our church planting process check out the blog at heatworshiphouse.blogspot.com - sweet things are happening not only on the street but in the team too!

Oh - and someone told my husband that he was doing child labor because our 7 year old was helping today (and he asked to come - we didn't forced him...).    It takes all sort of people to make our world!

There is a Paige in me!

Anyone knows who I am talking about?   You must be watchin Extreme Makeover Home Edition then...

Yesterday I helped my in-laws in putting the floor.   Well we started anyway.   It's not finished and they will continue today with hubby's uncle.    Me - I will take care of the kids... but I loved the experienced of yesterday.   Fun!    Wish I could do more but duty calls...

The floating floor's color is wild cherry.  I love it.   That's the one we drove to Montreal to go get.   a 5 hour drive total because we had to come back obviously (LOL).    So we started with the main area to put the floor in.    I am expecting that the main area will be finished by tonight but who knows...   The last room to be done will be the bedroom.

Nothing much left to do.    Once the floor is done, there will be the baseboards to put in, a few things to do here and there.  Then hubby will be able to bring his office down.   Then we will be able to paint the room where he is right now so I can bring my office upstairs... so that we can paint where I am right now to get a school room.

Speaking of school room - I am struggling right now.   Debating if I should continue or not...   Deep down I know I should but I am messed up emotionally and I don't know anymore.    So I will take one month at a time.   I am looking forward to it just for the history part.    But I don't want to deprive my kids of having friends.   See how the ennemy is messing me up even more.

Freedom...

Freedom --  from facebook that is.

I got sick of cultivating what I would call "fake" relationship...   Sick of getting in the sin of judging other by what they write - so the best was to leave the whole thing.

I feel no regrets whatsoever (right now).

However, there is still a group for H.E.A.T. that I can not reach anymore...  But I have nominated two other people who can update this group.

I prefer sticking with the blogs I have.

Back into routine...

Well... it's being two week since we got back from our month trip...   We had a great time and these days I miss being on the road and discovering new places.   We learned a lot - like living the six of us together in a small space (no place to be alone for sure), how to drive with the RV, how silly it is to stress when there is nothing you can do about it, how God brings help to you when you think there is nothing that can be done in a VERY quick time... (boy what a lesson that was).    We met some friends, got H.E.A.T. discovered in the States and in the East Coast (we get lots of reaction from the truck when we are driving with it...), and had a blast everywhere we went.

I miss Heidi already and her family...  Wish I could drive back soon.  Wish I could do some things that I wanted to do but couldn't due to a lack of time...  So we will have to go back someday for sure!

I miss PEI.... the red dirt, the potato fields, the calm you experience when you are there, being able to see the sea from your camping site.  *sigh*

I need to get back to my routine...  Wish I could clean up my office but no...  I can't because the basement is not yet finished (almost) - then hubby will bring his office in the basement, we will paint the room where he was, I will move in there, then paint the room where my office is right now which will become the school room.   I'm excited about that!

Basement story - we were looking for the flooring everywhere.   I really liked Wild Cherry color but unfortunately all the Home Depot here didn't had them.   So I called outside the city no luck on the Ontario side... MmmmM!    I check the closest cities on the Quebec side...  Called Vaudreuil - nope but the guy told me that Acadie got a lot of them.   I called there and yes they had it!  Yeah!  Did they had enough for 900 sq ft?  Yes.   So mother-in-law and I drove 2 1/2 hours to get the flooring for a REALLY good price too! Turned out that my mother-in-law bought some for her basement as well... LOL    Good thing I had the truck!   We saved a lot of $ even though we drove to Montreal to get the floors.   What a story - we had 70 boxes of laminate flooring in the truck plus 16 underlining packages and some lights.    THe most important thing is that we had fun!    The person who helped us in the store said it was a fresh breath of air for them because they saw that we get along well... while most of the time people of *****ing and complaining in the store.   Very rare in Quebec for in-laws to get along apparently.   I believe it since I experienced it in my own family when I was younger.  It hard... I'm very glad that I get along with my in-laws...

Update on our roadtrip...

I know it has been since end of June I didn't update my blog...  A bit hard when the Wi-Fi connection of the camping site where we were staying is not working properly.   So I gave up on internet and funny enough I didn't really miss it....  Mmmm!   Sometimes I think I should get rid of Facebook but hey I am the main administrator of the H.E.A.T. group so.... I stick with it.

Anyhow, we had a great time in PEI.   We visited the potato museum.  Yes!   There is such a thing as a potato museum.   There was also a schoolhouse there so we visited it as well.    Even took some pictures that I might send to the Old Schoolhouse magazine.   But we did learned a lot about potatoes.   Even tasted some lobster flavored chips.   Interesting taste.   Tasted fudge made from potatoes too!   Delicious.

Before the CCSB convention, we went to visit Charlottetown.   We went to the Founders' Hall and to the SandLand which is a place where they made sculptures from sand.   It was Sandtastic!

During the CCSB convention in Charlottetown, we had a free Losbter Dinner.   I had mussels for the first time.   Yummy in butter...   Bottom line I am expanding my taste buds....

Well now we are back in New Brunswick and will continue to home soon.   We have stopped to the home of Roger and Margie Urquhart which are pastoring a church here in Fredericton.    We met two years ago during the orientation sessions at the CCSB in Cochrane, AB and it was as though we never stopped connecting since then....  Amazing!    Anyhow, Margie offered to babysit last night and we went to see The Incredible Hulk movie which my husband was dying to see.    It was very good - better than the one they made a few years ago.

I feel I miss home even though I'm sure I will miss the travel once home.    But I can't wait to sleep in my BIG bed and to take it easy.   I guess I planned too much somehow... but it was fun.
