Clever Dragon and Always Ice Cream Fall Special

Are you looking for a website where you know you child will learn and have fun?   Do you want to find a site that is completely safe and you won’t have to worry about stalkers?   Well you are in for a treat as there is such a site for your kids.  Actually it is more like two sites – one for boys titled Clever Dragon and one for girls known as Always Ice Cream.

Both sites are smart fun for kids in grades K to 8 with activities on typing, math, arts, music, geography and more.   They will learn at the same time as having fun.  It is perfect to complement what you cover at home or what they learn at school.   See my review of Clever Dragons to learn more about the boys site.   The girl site is similar with games and activities more geared for girls.

Right now there is a Fall Special.  If you purchase a lifetime membership you will pay only 79$ while the family lifetime membership is 159$.   For the quality and the peace of mind, I find that these prices are fabulous!

To access the membership page for either sites, click on the images below.

Family Lifetime Memberships on Always Icecream and Clever Dragons

imageimage

I received great news for the site of Always Icecream and Clever Dragons over the week-end.    Starting immediately families are not able to purchase a family lifetime membership with an introductory offer of $149 instead if $259 for 4 children! The offer will only be good for 10 days only.

These sites are fabulous for the educational games as well as the security for your children.

Always Ice Cream is the site for girls in grades K-8.

Clever Dragons is the brother site of Always Ice Cream for boys in grades K-8.

Our experience with Clever Dragons is fabulous.   Each day – I am not kidding when I say each day… – the boys request the permission to go on the site to play games and have fun.   I have no problem with them going on it and learning while having fun.   I am so impressed with the flexibility of the site that I have no hesitation for them to go on it and play.   I was able to limit the social media part of the website which I am not comfortable with.  Does that stop my kids for having fun?  No way.  They learn quite a bit while playing on the Clever Dragons site.   In a way, it helps them to recall information learned in previous lessons like mathematics or language arts.    They also explored the geography games as well as the science ones.

I would strongly recommend this site for everyone.   And this family lifetime introductory special is perfect for anyone’s wallet.   A rebate of 110$ is worth of consideration.   Knowing that the kids in one family (well up to four kids anyway) can access either Always Icecream or Clever Dragons is marvelous.   Personally I wish I could change my membership so that our daughter can access the Always Icecream site.   Right now I only have an annual membership for the three boys.   Switching would be nice for my boys and for my daughter.

You can purchase this Family Lifetime Introductory Special at the Clever Dragons or Always Ice Cream membership pages.   Right now this is an amazing price for 4 kids in your family.    If you have more than 4 childrens in the grades K-8, please contact Always Clever and let them know.  But be fast because that special introductory price is available only until April 10th.

Clever Dragons–a site for boys only!

There is one thing I am certain these days…. my boys TOTALLY love the Clever Dragons site.   And to be honest, mom agrees with them.

What is Clever Dragons?   A few weeks ago, I have blogged about the easy process to register and setting up an account with this website.    Essentially, Clever Dragons is a learn and play platform for young boys.

2-23-2012 6-33-26 AM

Every single day, my boys ask permission to be able to go on the site and learn more about the world, music, mathematics, writing, history and geography as well as the Bible.   Through games the child is set to learn whether he likes it or not.    My boys love to play with the geographic games as well as the one about identifying the parts of the human body.

With their Grade Bar as I call it, you can select the games specific to a level from grades K to 8th.    The boys can also “purchase furniture and decorations to enhance their rooms as well as get eggs that will hatched in some sort of animal that they need to care for.

What I particularly like about the Clever Dragons site is that I can set up our account to either allow or restrict the “social media” part of it.    Right now, our account is limited since I have not activated the social media allowing the boys to interact with others on the site.   Other parents would choose to let them use it but we have mixed feelings about it.   So having this flexibility for us is a bonus.

My husband has organized our living room with a computer plugged on the big screen television.  So when the kids play on the internet, I know exactly what they are doing and I can check the quality of the website at the same time.      I am very impressed with the Clever Dragons website and I am pleased to say that this site is an absolute must for any homeschoolers!   Every time he see the boys playing with the Clever Dragons site, he is impressed with the quality of the games and how they are learning.

Not only your son will learn quite a bit using this website, but you can be guaranteed that the educational content will also be of higher quality.    Clever Dragons offers drills in core academic subjects while promoting a safe environment for children of all ages.    Parents also have the flexibility to choose to incorporate Christian education content if they select this option for the account.

The whole process of learning via education games will also provide motivation by allowing the child to accumulate gold coins so that he can purchase things as well as provide awards for the efforts he has done during the games.

With the quality of the games, the safety and the flexibility to set up the account the way you want it as well as the fact that the site is always adding new challenges for the boys, this website is perfect for homeschooling!  It is a great way to let your son explore and learn while having fun.

Wondering what the price can be?    Here’s the details…  A monthly subscription will cost you 5.95$ per month with the first month being 99 cents. A two months membership is 11.90$ while an annual membership is 47.40$ per year for a price of 3.95 per month.    Finally, the lifetime membership is 119$.     According to the website, a lifetime membership for an entire family for $259 is suppose to come soon as well.

There is also a site for girls called Always Ice Cream.   I know a little girl who is looking forward to be able to access it when she turns five in December.    For the meantime she observe her brothers playing with the Clever Dragons website.

Clever Dragons Registration process is impressive

2-23-2012 6-33-26 AM

Recently I received the opportunity of becoming a Always Clever Blogger member for Always Icecream and Clever Dragons.

My daughter is too young to access Always Icecream but my three boys are perfect for the ages to which Clever Dragons target.

Though we haven’t tried it yet….  (I set up the account this morning!)   I must blog about the membership process.

I have reviewed other online sites in the past and I had mixed feelings about them because of the chat feature.   I was questioning the fact that technically anyone can access the site and start chatting with your child.   After all predators can lie about their age right?

Well during the process of registration with Clever Dragons, I immediately saw that there is the possibility to include or remove the community feature.   What is the community feature you might wonder?   Simply said it is a feature that includes friends, games and video commenting and additional fun-oriented and age-appropriate games and videos.    And yes – there is communication included in there.  Though it says that all communication and contributions are monitored and reviewed before they are published (which is a huge thing for me!), I have decided that for the time being, I will remove this feature from the account.    However, let me tell you that you can re-instate it anytime you want.

The learning games are for grade-level – having only one account for the three boys I have decided to select the K to 8th levels.   Having the possibility to select the range is fabulous if you ask me!       The games included in this online gaming world will cover multiples subjects – Language Arts, math Quizzes, Advanced Math, Science, Geography & History, Music & Arts, Computer Skills, Foreign Languages, Religious Education (Christian) and Life Skills.   You have the possibility to remove/allow access to any subject.

As a parent, you also have the possibility of receiving weekly updates on new activities that your child does.    And you can also reward your child for doing homework or choses – or just to surprise him.

So far I am quite impressed with Clever Dragons and I had not even entered the world yet…

As like any other online games sites, Clever Dragons come with a price.    If you opted for a monthly subscription, you will pay 99 cents for the 1st month and 5.95$ for following months.    A two months membership will be 11.90$, an annual membership will be 47.40$ and a life time membership will be 119$.   But the best part is definitively that there isn’t advertising included in this online gaming site (and that it is educational as well!).

Recently an online friend of mine has posted on facebook that she was coding a geography game on Canada for the site.    Now I look forward to see what she has done!  *grin*   Being Canadian, I am pleased to see that Clever Dragons (and it’s sister site Always Icecream) has Canadian content.   Hope they will continue to do so in the future…

In the meantime, I will write occasionally about our experience with Clever Dragons and on new features that might come up.    So far I am impressed and can’t wait to show this to the boys!
