My Thoughts

“I Still Believe” is a powerful song that Christian artist Jeremy Camp has written after the death of his first wife, Melissa.    The book titled I Still Believe is a powerful memoir of the life of Jeremy Camp and the way God has been with him through the years.   But before I share my thoughts about the book let me tell you that it will touch the deepest part of your soul.

First of all, the story totally grabbed me from page one of the book where Jeremy shares how the song came to life.   But as I continue to read, I found myself wanting to know more about his life, how God guided him through hard times and good times and how he became the artist he us now.  I just couldn’t put the book down.  My oldest son couldn’t believe that I read it in three days – that’s because I had to put the book down for homeschool, eat and sleep…  *grin*     I suspect he will grab this book to read it himself in the weeks to come as he loves listening to Jeremy Camp’s music.

Secondly, this testimony will pierce your heart and you will cry – guaranteed.   If you don’t well I don’t know what is wrong with you to be honest.  It is a beautiful love story between a Jeremy and God, Jeremy and his family, Jeremy and Melissa, Jeremy and Adrienne and finally Jeremy and his children.    At each step of his life, you can experience the spiritual grow of Jeremy Camp and at the same time wanting more for yourself as well.   I am amazed by how people got touched hearing this testimony during shows and now I know that even more people will be touched by this book.   You can sense God presence and marvel to how Jeremy matured during his journey. 

Not only does he have amazing blue eyes but he has an amazing story worth reading by everyone – Christians and non-Christians.   It is a story that will touch anyone who have lost a loved one and had to deal with grief and a story that will give your goose bumps as you read it. Smack in the middle of the book, you get a glimpse of the life of Jeremy with marvelous pictures of his life.   Getting an eye bird view of his growing up years and more recent pictures of his family is a marvelous way to visualize the story within the book.   You will read about his joys, his struggles and his pain at the lost of his first wife.  You will discover the people who supported him, encourage him and helped him through the loss of Melissa.  You will see how God gave him opportunities to touch people and brought love back in his life.   

I really enjoy this book and highly recommend it to everyone.   It is written simply and in such a way that it will be difficult for you to put the book down.   I know it was for me!   Jeremy Camp has an amazing story to share and it is worth reading it.  If there was one book I would recommend you to read this year it is I Still Believe.
