About the book

“I can see how it might be possible for a man to look down upon the earth and be an atheist, but I cannot conceive how he could look up into the heavens and say there is no God.” Abraham Lincoln

Our world displays the handiwork of God all around us—in the land and sea, the animals and the plants. But in respect to the sky, the heavens, the universe…there’s a realm of beauty and creation man has not been able to witness, until now. The Heavens Proclaim His Glory is a compilation of stunning photography taken by NASA’s Hubble® Telescope capturing striking images of stars, galaxies, cosmic events, planets, and more. Vivid up-close photographs are paired with a romantic Psalm or quote, as well as a short description of the image. The Heavens will open up a whole new world of worship and praise for our God.

Contributors include: Francis Chan, Mike Huckabee, John MacArthur, Stephen Mansfield, Sarah Young, Max Lucado, Jenna Lucado, Henry & Richard Blackaby, Robert Morgan, Kirk Cameron, Homer Hickam, and more.

My Thoughts

This book is fabulous to say the least.  Not only it makes a wonderful book to have on your coffee table but it is an amazing addition to a homeschool library as it will complete a study on astronomy.  The images are spectacular and breathtaking.   The scriptures are relevant and the words from well known Christian writers accompany the book.

I couldn’t ask for more.    I am pleased beyond words with this beautiful book.   The more you read and get into the book, the more you realize how majestic is the universe.   Can you really think that God is not in the picture after reading this book?  I don’t think so.   God has orchestrated everything and has thought of a multitude of details.    Looking at the pictures taken from the Hubble telescope, you can easily see the creativity of God and how He made sure that we would see him everywhere – even through space.

The text is uplifting and guides us to ponder on the Creator and the universe around us.    I was surprised (and pleased) to even see something from one of my favourite authors – Neta Jackson.   If you want to catch a glimpse of the universe from your living room, I strongly recommend to get The Heavens Proclaim His Glory.

This review was possible because I received a copy of The Heavens Proclaim His Glory from Thomas Nelson.

The Heavens Proclaim His Glory is available everywhere even at amazon.ca.

  1. I'd love to see this book! Pictures taken in space always remind me of how God is so big and I am so small! Yet, He loves me even if I am small and filled with flaws!
I find astronomy so interesting, always have!
