TOS Crew Blog Walking –Week 4

Photobucket

This is week four of the blog walking of the members of the TOS Homeschool Crew.

1. King Alfred Academy

This is Brittney’s blog and it is also where you can see stunning pictures of her family.    She has two boys and teach them with a classical influence mostly Charlotte Mason.   She also posted some wonderful pictures of the travel she has done with her husband and this only gives me a taste of visiting the world.   One of these days, I want to be able to bring my family in Europe and beyond to discover new places…

2. Confessions of An Organized Homeschool Mom

Meet Bethany who is a pro at homeschooling with 10 years under her belt.   Apparently, she is also a master of organization.   I might find some interesting ideas to apply in my household/homeschool from her.   Reading about portfolio is interesting and helps me to remember to keep track of the things we do during our homeschool time.   You never know when you might need to list them.

3. Curriculum Reviews from Oak Creek Farmhouse

This blog is pretty new and will soon be filled with interesting reviews as the blogger will receive her products from the vendors participating to the TOS Homeschool Crew viral marketing project.

4. I Can't Decide

Briana is the Mama and has 8 kids.  She homeschool 6 of these kids while the other two are away at school.  This blog.  She has an interesting garden (which I SO wish I had in my backyard…) and grow anything from flowers to vegetables.    One of these days, I want to have a garden too!

5. My Life on A Taffy Pull

Mom of 6 kids who takes amazing pictures as well.   The bees in their backyard, the tiny frog, the turtle ponds…  WoW!   their backyard is full of little treasures let me tell you.  I also see an amazing garden which gives me ideas for the future…  *grin*

6. Losing My Tale

The subtitle of this blog is “Adventures In Finding My Story”.   Kind of cute I find.   Because life is indeed and adventures.   We are just passing through this life and eventually live in an awesome place.   This blog has recipes, projects that they do, creatures they meet like Mrs Turtle (I once had the experience to see a turtle laying her eggs – WoW!   simply breathtaking if you ask me…) and more.

7. Made in His Image

Cassie is the author of this blog and as she says herself you will find posts about home, family, parenting, homeschooling, faith, saving money, product reviews, army life and more.   She has 4 kids  and expecting #5.   I look forward to get to know her more via the Crew this year.

8. Serenades and Solace

When I opened this blog, I was reminded of God’s faithfulness not by one but two rainbows.   Actually I saw this picture elsewhere in the past and loved it.   So imagine my delight to see it on the blog of alecat whom lives in Australia (a country that I dream to visit one day!).   They are a family of four who have been homeschooling since 2003.    I’m excited to discover life in Australia especially with homeschooling as a lifestyle.

9. Our Village is a Little Different

Here’s the blog of Catherine who homeschool twin boys with Asperger Syndrome.   She will be in her 2nd year of homeschooling her kids.    This is a new blog from what I can see and I can’t wait to see how homeschooling kids with Asperger Syndrome will be.    It amazes me to see mother taking seriously the education of their special need child(ren) and be willing to homeschool.   I guess I would do the same in a similar situation.   My nephew is a special need child and he enjoyed going to his special class.   He has progressed a lot since starting to go to this class it is quite unbelievable.   But doing it at home can also produce amazing results.   So I tip my hat to all mothers who homeschool their special need kids.  You are ALL in my prayers that God will bless you by doing so and that He will pour lots of patience in your life.

10. SisterTipster's Tell'n It!

AH!  SisterTipster was part of the first year crew and I am delighted to see her join us back this year.    Her blog contains lots of freebies (which makes me want to move to the US!), information to homeschool various ages from preschool to high school as well as a multitude of other interesting information.  My favorite I think it the entry she had about canning cucumbers.   (Canning is something we want to experiment more this year – we started with strawberries and plan to finish with tomatoes…).   Welcome back SisterTipster!

Voilà!  the blog walking for this week is completed.   Now rest your feet and cool off in the shade (well is is crazy HOT here in Ontario!) and enjoy a sip of lemonade…

  4. Hello,
Thanks for the kind words about my blog on the blogwalk. I hope someday you have the garden of your dreams. My only problem with my dream garden is that it keeps changing. I'm off to check out your blog.
