My Thoughts
Tinker Bell has been an icon of Walt Disney since her appearance in the movie Peter Pan. I remember watching the Disney television show when I was younger (many years ago) and see the little flicker going around the castle and tipping the spire of it. Tinker Bell was there – it was magic – it was great television.
Imagine my delight when movies about Tinker Bell came out a few years ago. You can bet that these movies found their way to our household which now had a little girl. Tinker Bell is spunky just like my little Jasmine and now DK Canada has a book about her and her friends.
Disney Fairies Tinker Bell Essential Guide is a marvelous hard cover book that will bring joy in your daughter’s life. The cover is amazing in itself with sparkly wings and flowers on both side. It feels as though pixie dust covers it. When you open the book, you are immediately surrounded by numerous fairies and the familiar images from Pixie Hollow. The book will present everything you need to know about the environment where the fairies lives, the fairies themselves as well as what affects the work of the fairies through a year.
The colorful images are simply fabulous and almost pop-out of the book. The text that accompanies the pictures is simply yet precise on everything you can find in Pixie Hollow. However the book is base don the Tinker Bell and the Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure movies. The last movie, Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue is not covered in this book. I am hoping that they will update the book eventually to include the adventures of Tinker Bell in that movie.
If you have a little girl who simply loves Tinker Bell and would love to read more about her, the Disney Fairies Tinker Bell Essential Guide is a great book to entertain her.
