My Thoughts
Are you still trying to figure out what to purchase for that foodie person in your life? That person who loves food and enjoys cooking maybe? Or maybe you are looking for a cookbook that will spice up your meals next year? Let me present you the Cooking Season by Season from DK.
This interesting cookbook will suggest some new recipes depending of the season of the year. Actually, the book is divided into six sections – spring, early summer, high summer, fall, early winter, late winter. Each season presents a variety of interesting recipes for you to try and expand your taste buds. You will also discover the season’s best for each section of the book with recipes highlighting a specific product that is part of the season’s best. This product could be fish, meat, vegetable or fruit. With recipes based on these products, you can be sure to add variety to your meals in 2013!
One of the recipes I stumbled upon while looking at them was a soup based on pumpkin ad ginger. Though we have not made the recipe itself, we have based a creation of my husband’s on the recipe in the book. We have a delicious soup made out of pumpkin and squash that is simply a delight for the mouth. Our family enjoys discovering new recipes and trying new taste. We are looking forward to explore this recipe book in the new year!
Again, if you have someone who loves to try new recipes or want to add some variety in their meals in 2013, this recipe book would make a great Christmas gift for him/her.
Cooking Season by Season is available at your favourite bookstore, even amazon.ca and amazon.com.
