About Angry Birds

The survival of the Angry Birds is at stake.  Dish out revenge on the green pigs who stole the Birds’ eggs.  Use the unique destructive powers of the Angry Birds to lay waste to the pigs’ fortified castles.  Angry Birds features hours of gameplay, challenging physics-based castle demolition, and lots of replay value.  Each of the 270 levels requires logic, skill, and brute force to crush the enemy.

Our Thoughts

We are no stranger to the Angry Birds and to be honest I would have thought that by now everyone would know about it.   But I was wrong, recently I met someone who had never played it and was wondering how it worked.

Anyhow, everyone in my family have played with this particular game.  When we got first introduced to it, we only had an iPhone and an iPod.   But playing this with these devices could be difficult as the screen is quite small.   So since we have an iPad I was lookingimage forward to review the HD version of the game to see the difference.

I was blessed to receive a promo code for the Angry Birds HD from Chillingo and have since played it more on the iPad than on my iPod.    First and foremost, the screen being bigger it makes it easier to visualize the whole scene and shoot the birds.   I much prefer it like that.    You also have more space to shoot the birds toward the castle with the bigger screen.

I particularly love the fact that each bird has its own abilities and that to conquer (or destroy) the castle of the pigs you have to thing, plan and discover the weak parts of it.      By using the birds waiting in line to be sent toward the castle, you can break the walls and “kill” the pigs.    You won’t see any blood in this game.  But once you have taste the challenge, you won’t be able to put it down.

Most of the time, I bring the sound down as it could get on your nerve to hear the birds/pigs or music.    But that’s just me.  Other people would probably won’t mind it and leave it on…

Bottom line is that this game is good for everyone in your family whether they are young or old.   It will challenge you to find the best way to destroy the castle (if you are like my husband and want to do it in less birds as possible) or simply conquer the level (like me or the kids).    Even my little girl who will turn four in December enjoys playing with Angry Birds.   My kids even like some specific birds…   Me?  I just like the fact that they can do different thing depending of their size and form.

imageThis is a great game to beat the physics, explore strategy and kill some time while waiting at the doctor’s office.   I highly recommend it to anyone!

The Angry Birds HD app is available for purchase directly from iTunes for the price of 4.99$.   And if you don’t have an iPod/iPhone or iPad, don’t worry because the game is now available for the PC for the price of 4.95$.
