The warm weather will soon arrive (well I sure hope so anyway) and I suspect that in households around the country moms will hear the dreaded words “Mom I’m bored!”. So what can you do to reduce the boredom that might sneak on you when you least expect it? Hasbro Canada has released new Nerf Super Soaker products to keep the kids busy in your backyard during the warm days this summer.

My Thoughts
Super Soaker is VERY welcomed in our home. With four kids playing against each other, the fun time is guarantee when the sun shine above their heads. But when dad comes out with his own Super Soaker well it all of them against him.
When the kids play with their Super Soakers, I hear laughter and screams of joy. They have many battles in the backyard and they enjoy every minutes of it.
So when I had the opportunity to review the latest products of Super Soaker, I jumped on it because I knew that my kids really love these. Besides, we have a couple of Super-Soakers wannabe that do not work as well as the real ones. So each kids can now have their own Super Soaker.
Usually with new products you can have new features. And this time around, you have two new Super Soakers that are motorized. Yes you have read it properly – motorized…. Batteries needs to be inserted in the blaster to make it work but you won’t have to pump for the water to come. You will be ready to fire at your enemy within seconds of encountering him/her. Both the Electrostorm and the Lightningstorm blasters have the motorized capability. However, the Lighningstorm also give you the possibility of adding addition Water Clips (sold separately obviously) to your arsenal so that you won’t run out of ammo to drench your opponent.
The Tornado Strike is different as not only will it soak the person in front of you but the blaster will spin its barrel to make sure that the maximum of water will reach its target. Seriously, with a range of 20 feet you can hit anything that is close or far from you! It also allows you to detach the stock to better aim.
In the past few years, you see more and more rain barrels coming in the backyards of people. It is important to remember that the water contained in these is fine for flowers and your vegetable gardens but it is not the best of quality for children play. The water contained in rain barrels is not treated to drink or have on your skin. I would strongly recommend that you do not allow your children use that water to fill the NERF Super Soaker blasters. Only clean water from the tap should be use for these. You don’t want your child to develop a mysterious rash or a skin disease by using dirty water. So be wise and teach them to use the water from the outside tap (after all every house have one!).
In conclusion, I strongly recommend to buy quality when considering water blasters and I think that Hasbro Canada has the best one that you can find on the market. A few years ago, I also found some fun targets that you can clip on your clothes while playing. The goal is to hit the target on the other person. Try to find some targets to keep them busy as well – an empty can, plastic containers, and so on. Let them pretend that they are in the Far West, during a grand battle or even Jedi fighting for the Republic. Fun will be guaranteed. You will hear much laughter and it will bring a smile on your face. Besides, what can stop you to join their fun once in a while…. don’t forget to purchase one for you too. They’ll think you are the coolest mom in the neighborhood!
Look for these boxes at your favourite toy store and surprise your kids with a new Super Soaker product for the summer time.
