Meet Chipper.
Chipper playfully teaches young children good character and a love for the environment in this award winning children's series.
You can find him at Let’s Go Chipper.
Currently in the US, there is a tour called Into the Great Outdoors! which gives the opportunity of connecting the community, park rangers, teachers, parents and whoever who wants to participate. A Chipper Team will lead events in various communities, states and national parks around the US. They will encourage families to get out there and explore the nature around them.

Now, what’s in store for Canada?
Well as a mom who thinks that the outdoors are fun, I would like to encourage you to consider exploring nature in a different way this year.
If you never went camping with your family, please do so at least once.
If you never went fishing with your kids, find a way to introduce them to this activity. It doesn’t have to be on a lake, you can go to fishing farms in your area.
Last year, we discover a new way to explore outside and have fun at the same time.
Have you heard of GEOCACHING?
Geocaching is a real-world outdoor treasure hunting game. Players try to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, using a GPS-enabled device.
Okay not everyone has such a device I admit it. But if you have an iPhone/Android/Windows Phone 7, you can download an app.
So we went out one bright summer day to explore around our campsite.
We had the coordinates. We searches everywhere…
Around the tree….
In the long grasses….
After many minutes, we discovered the cache under a HUGE rock.
Yep! Here it was… well hidden from curious eyes!
The kids had a blast looking for it.
You see it doesn’t take much to entertain kids outside.
It could be a trip at a park near your place…
Picking Blueberries…
Picking Raspberries….
or fishing on the lake…
But make sure you bring your binocular because you never know what you will see…
Dragonflies
Ladybugs
a turtle laying her eggs…
or baby birds…
Open your eyes… Bring some water and explore the Great Outdoors!
What are you waiting for?
