My Thoughts

Lego has invaded my life when I was five years old – living in France for a couple of months while my dad was in training in Lyon.  Back then, the famous bricks were not available in Canada and I received my first Lego set during the Christmas season.

Here’s a picture of me and another little girl back in 1974 – I’m the one with the blue hat sitting in the stairs!  We both had received the same set of Lego.

Lego never left my side and when I stopped playing with them I carefully put them away in the hopes that my own kids could play with them one day.  Guess what!  Now many years later and four kids in our midst, they do play with my old Lego and their own new ones that they received at birthdays and Christmas.

The Lego Adventure Book will help any fans of Lego to develop new skills in building.  The table of contents is as follow:

Chapter 1: Building the Idea Lab
Chapter 2: A LEGO Town
Chapter 3: Hot Rods and Cool Rides
Chapter 4: From Below!
Chapter 5: The Sky's the Limit
Chapter 6: The Turtle Factory
Chapter 7: Starfighters
Chapter 8: Mighty Mecha
Chapter 9: Medieval Village
Chapter 10: Triassic Park
Chapter 11: Making New Friends
Chapter 12: Full Steam Ahead
Chapter 13: Steampunk
Chapter 14: A LEGO Legend

The book is packed with steps-by-steps ideas that your kids or yourself would like to build.    The first part of the steps list the pieces that you will need to make the model.  Now if you don’t have the same colors – don’t worry.  The model will look just as great if it’s in a different color.

Nearly 200 models are included in this book with about 25 brick-by-brick instructions to build some of the models.  You will find everything to satisfy your personal taste from cars to dinosaurs, including a trip to the medieval times and space theme.    This book is a real gem for creative kids who love to learn more about building models.    The brick-by-brick steps are very clear and the photos are fabulous.   Whether you are a beginning builder or a more advance one, I am convince that this book would be very useful.   I am hoping that more volumes in this line of books will come out in the months/years to come.

My question to you today is this one.  Do you have a child who is passionate about Lego and wants to have more ideas to build new cool things?  If so, I would like to suggest The Lego Adventure Book for you.  It would make a perfect Christmas or birthday gift.

The Lego Adventure Book is available at your favourite bookstore, even at amazon.ca and amazon.com.

It is also available for the Kindle.
