The Grand Prize draw will be held on June 29, 2010.

And don’t forget to play the “game of the week” and get two entries instead of one, each time you enter!
As I have this opportunity, it got me wondering what would be my ultimate reno-cation… Where would I go? What renovations would I tackle in my home?
Two years ago, we had the opportunity the finish the basement. Last year, we were able to paint all the first floor as well as the hallway on the second floor. Both were demanding jobs and the house looks so much better now. But what else could be done? So here I sit in front of my PC and wonder what would be my ultimate reno-cation.
Well the first thing I would do would be to put hardwood floors in the dining room and living room as well as the hallway on the first floor. I would also change the entrance area a bit to extend the tiles up to the stairs to avoid having any carpet going to the wardrobe to hangs the coats. My house is a bit dysfunctional in that area I find. So having tiles there would be wonderful.
The other step would be to change the flooring in the kitchen as we have vinyl right now. Again tiles would be make it richer than it is. I love my kitchen as it has lots of cupboards everywhere. But with time and four kids, some doors need to be repaired. I would invest to sand and stain them back to their original look. We have bought some baby proof things that have damaged the doors of the cabinet. It is sad to see them the way they are right now.
It would be great to be able to paint the master bedroom. It is the only BIG room in the house that has not received a new paint. Also, the master bathroom and the kids’ bathroom are in need of paint. And let’s not forget the kids’ rooms either. Technically, it doesn’t need a new coat of paint but the boys room as well as my daughter room would look sharp in new colors.
Finally, the biggest renovation I would do would probably build a deck in the backyard. I would love to have a big deck where I can put my table and chairs, the BBQ and have two levels on it. Maybe even put a hot tub there too.
As for a vacation, I think we would love to go RVing all over Canada and the US for an extended period of time. This would be a wonderful opportunity to discover our country and its neighbor as homeschool on the road. We would discover geography and history explore the land, compare the provinces and states and so on. Yes this would be our ultimate vacation for us. Being with our children and learning with them about Canada and the US.
What about you? What would be your ultimate reno-cation?
Again to participate to this wonderful contest, simply click on the button below. (Continue reading I have a giveaway at the end of this blog!).

After 10 years...I'd like to redo my bathrooms, the hardwood floors need sanding and revarnishing, the front and back porches need replacing, the front door could use replacing, master bedroom could use some patching and a new coat of paint...oh, the things I would do...oh and don't forget the inground pool that I've always wanted!

We have a room over our garage that gets so cold in the winter, I would love to be able to pull down the whole garage ceiling and spray foam it a-la-Mike-Holmes! That room also needs some drywall repair and a fresh coat of pain. All my bedrooms need closet doors since we redid the flooring and didn't put the broken ones back on. I would love a new railing for my stairs because the current one is rickety.
ReplyDeleteAs for vacation, anywhere my kids and hubby can spend quality time together would be fabulous. My husband has had ongoing health issues and recently a major leg surgery, it has been an incredible stress on all of us and a vacation would be so wonderful!!

My bathrooms would get a major workover - we need a nice sunken tub and a nice steam shower. Of course, hardwood floors would be nice, also!
